About rubbish removal →Rubbish removal, garden waste and full clearances across Wetherby, from flats and terraces in the town centre to family homes on the outer estates.
Wetherby is a market town on the River Wharfe in the far north-east of Leeds, with a Georgian and Victorian centre, terraces and cottages close to the river, and large estates of semis, detached homes and bungalows built out from it, plus retirement flats and apartments. That spread makes for varied work: downsizing clearances from family homes, flat clear-outs, garden waste from the estates and the occasional shop or office refit in town.
Older properties in the centre can have narrow stairs, cellars and doors straight onto the pavement. Retirement and apartment blocks have shared entrances and lifts, often with set hours for removals. Estate houses and bungalows are mostly simple, with drives, side gates and garages. Riverside properties can have steps down to gardens, so tell us about anything that means carrying uphill. Lofts in bungalows are often well filled. Expect a short carry on gravel drives.
The town centre is compact with busy short-stay parking, especially on market day, so we load from side streets or your drive where we can. Most estate roads have room. Wetherby sits by the A1(M), with the A58 and A661 also coming in, so access is easy. If your apartment block has a service bay or rules about vans, let us know.
Typical jobs: house clearances, moves into retirement flats, loft and garage clear-outs, garden waste, and small commercial clear-outs. The Leeds council tip for Wetherby is on the Thorp Arch Industrial Estate, a short drive away. It's free for Leeds residents with a car, within DIY limits, and you unload yourself. For bigger or heavier loads, one visit from us does the lot. Bathroom and kitchen refits leave plenty of waste too, and we'll take it if plasterboard is kept separate.

About rubbish removal →Wetherby house clearances for downsizers, executors and landlords, with personal items set aside and a waste transfer note for landlord jobs.
About house clearance →Garden waste from Wetherby's estates and riverside plots: hedges, branches, leaves, turf, soil and old fencing. Thick branches and soil are fine too.
About garden waste removal →Sofas, armchairs, beds and wardrobes removed. Upholstered seating is kept out of the general load and incinerated because of POPs rules.
About sofa & furniture removal →Leeds City Council's Wetherby household waste recycling site is on the Thorp Arch Industrial Estate in LS23. At the time of writing it's for Leeds residents with a car or bike; vans and trailers need a permit, and staff can't help unload. If that doesn't suit, we can collect from your home.
Yes. We'll work to the block's rules on removal times and lift use, protect shared areas, and carry everything down. If you're clearing a relative's flat, we keep paperwork and personal items aside. Tell us the deadline for handing the flat back.
It can be on busy days, especially market day. We load from side streets or a private drive where possible. Send us the address and any notes about access and we'll plan where to stop. Early starts from 7am often help.
Yes. Fridges and freezers count as hazardous waste because of the coolant and insulation foam, so we take them to a facility permitted to treat them. The council lists a minimum legal disposal cost for a fridge, so a very cheap quote may be a warning sign.
Ask for our CBDU registration number and look it up on the Environment Agency public register. It should show an upper-tier carrier. If someone you paid fly-tips your waste and they weren't licensed, you could be fined; Leeds says its fixed penalty is £200.
