Builders' waste removal
Rubble, old kitchens, bathroom suites, timber and plasterboard from renovation jobs. No skip or road permit needed, and waste transfer notes for trade customers.
Hedge cuttings, felled branches, turf, soil and the old shed. We bag it and carry it out of the back garden ourselves, whatever the season.
The brown bin does a decent job with weekly mowings, but it struggles with a proper garden clear-up. It fills after one hedge, branches thicker than 3cm aren't allowed, and soil and rubble are out entirely. Collections also usually stop from late November until spring. That's when garden waste starts piling up behind houses: the autumn cut-back, a fence panel the wind took, a winter's worth of leaves and nowhere to put them.
We take the lot. Prunings, leylandii cuttings, bramble, ivy pulled off a wall, turf lifted for a patio, rotten decking and the shed that's been leaning for years. Bagged or loose is fine. If there's a side gate or a ginnel at the back, we use that. If the only way out is through the house, we bag everything first so soil and leaves don't end up on the hall carpet. Tell us which it is when you send photos and we'll plan the route.
Soil, turf and hardcore need more planning than hedge cuttings. A bag of wet soil weighs many times what a bag of leaves does, so weight often decides the job more than space. Send a photo with something in shot for scale, like a wheelie bin or a door, and say roughly how deep the pile goes. Japanese knotweed is the exception: it can't go in with ordinary green waste and we don't take it, so tell us if it's there before we quote.

Send a photo of the pile with a bin or door in shot so we can judge volume and weight.
Tell us whether there's side or back access, or whether it has to come through the house.
We bag loose cuttings and carry everything out to the van ourselves.
Clean green waste is sorted from soil, timber and other rubbish at a licensed facility.
Leeds City Council's brown bin is free, but it has limits: no branches thicker than 3cm, no soil or rubble, and collections usually pause from late November until spring. Garden waste can go free to the household waste recycling sites all year if you can get it there by car. Once it's more than a car load, or it's soil and turf, a licensed carrier is the legal route. The council lists 10 bags of garden waste at £28.78 as a minimum disposal cost, before labour.

Yes. We collect garden waste all year, so winter makes no difference to us. The council's brown bin collections usually pause from late November until spring; in 2025 the last round finished at the end of November. If you've got leaves, a hedge cut or storm damage to clear over the winter months, send a photo and we'll quote.
Yes. Soil, turf and garden hardcore are fine, but they're heavy, so we price them on weight as much as space. Bagging them speeds up loading, though loose piles are fine too. The brown bin won't take soil or rubble, and the tips only accept a limited amount of DIY-type waste per visit, which is why bigger landscaping jobs usually need a carrier.
Not ourselves. We're a waste carrier, so we collect what's been cut, but we can arrange the tree work through a trusted partner and take the waste away afterwards. If you've already got a tree surgeon booked, ask whether they're taking their own waste; if they're leaving it for you, book us for after the work is done.
Usually, yes. Plenty of Leeds terraces only have a front door, or a back yard opening onto a ginnel. If it has to come through the house, we bag everything first so it doesn't shed soil or leaves on the way, then carry it straight out. Mention the access when you send photos so we bring enough bags and allow the time.
Yes, timber or metal, as long as there's no asbestos sheeting on the roof. If it's still standing, say so in your photos, because taking it down adds time and affects the quote. The council's unwanted items collection won't take sheds, broken-up sheds or tree trunks, so for most people it's a tip run in several trips or a carrier.
