Rubbish removal
Household rubbish and mixed waste collected from anywhere in the house, loft or garden. Licensed carrier, price agreed from your photos before we load.
Rubble, old kitchens, bathroom suites, timber and packaging from building jobs. No skip on the drive and no permit for the road; we load from the house or yard.
Renovation waste ends up in awkward places. Old units stacked in the hallway, a bathroom suite in the back yard, bags of plaster piled under the stairs since the first week. A skip is one answer, but it needs space on a drive or a permit if it goes on the road, and it sits there filling up with the neighbours' rubbish until it's collected. We come, load what's there and leave, which suits terraced streets with no drive and jobs where the waste comes out in stages.
We take rubble, brick, broken tiles, timber offcuts, old kitchen units, worktops, bathroom suites, doors, window frames and packaging. Plasterboard is kept out of the general load and handled separately, so bag or stack it on its own if you can. Call us in at the end of a job or at intervals through it. On a longer refit, clearing as you go keeps rooms usable and stops the pile on the landing becoming something everyone has to climb over.
Who owns the waste matters. If a builder or other tradesperson produced it while working at your home, it's their waste and their duty of care, and they should have their own disposal arranged. If you did the work yourself, it's household waste and yours to deal with. Leeds tips now take DIY waste free, but only two 50-litre bags or one large item per visit, four visits a month. A kitchen refit goes well past that.

Send photos and tell us what's in it, especially any plasterboard or heavy rubble.
Rubble and plasterboard are bagged apart from timber and fittings so each goes to the right place.
We carry from the room, yard or drive, at the end of the job or in stages.
Builders and businesses get a waste transfer note; householders get a receipt.
Builders and other trades who produce waste on someone else's property carry their own duty of care for it, so it needs a waste transfer note when it's handed to a carrier. We complete one for every trade job, with the waste description and List of Waste code. Householders clearing their own DIY waste need a receipt from a licensed carrier rather than a transfer note. Plasterboard is kept out of mixed loads, and asbestos is never taken.
Worth reading: Skip hire or man-and-van clearance for builders' waste?. A skip suits some jobs and is the wrong tool for others. Here's how the two compare for Leeds homes, including the permit rules for skips on the road and what the council tips will take for free.
If the waste comes out steadily over several weeks and you have a drive, a skip can make sense. If you're on a terrace with no drive, the waste is ready to go now, or it's still inside the house, we're often the simpler option: no permit for a skip on the road, no waiting for an exchange, and nobody else filling it overnight. Get a quote from both and compare.
Yes, but it has to be kept apart from the rest. Plasterboard shouldn't be mixed in with general waste, so bag it or stack it on its own and we'll load it separately. Leeds tips also take plasterboard free from householders within the DIY limits, though Otley isn't accepting it at the time of writing.
Waste a tradesperson produces while working at your home is their responsibility, and they should remove it. If they've gone and left it anyway, we can take it, and you'll have a receipt showing it went with a licensed carrier. When we're working for a builder directly on a trade clearance, the waste transfer note goes to them.
Yes. Baths, toilets, basins, shower trays, kitchen units and worktops are all fine. Mention a cast iron bath up front, because it's heavy and we'll want to plan the carry. The council's unwanted items collection won't take bathroom suites or kitchen units, so for most people the choice is several trips to the tip or a carrier.
Yes: brick, block, concrete, tiles and hardcore, bagged or loose. Rubble is heavy, so weight drives the price more than space does. Leeds City Council lists 10 bags of rubble at £27.93 as a minimum legal disposal cost before labour, which is a useful check against any quote that seems suspiciously low.
