About rubbish removal →Rubbish removal and clearances across Shipley and Saltaire, from the listed millworkers' terraces by the canal to the family semis further up the hill.
Shipley is best known for Saltaire, where long rows of listed stone millworkers' terraces surround Salts Mill. Beyond the model village, there are plenty of other Victorian stone terraces, back-to-backs, larger villas on the slopes, post-war estates and newer flats near the town centre and the canal. Older terraces have attics and cellars that collect clutter. Larger houses mean bigger probate and downsizing jobs, and the rental market brings regular end-of-tenancy clearances.
The town sits in the Aire valley and many streets climb steeply out of it. Saltaire's terraces have small front gardens or steps and narrow back streets behind, and the houses themselves have steep stairs and compact rooms. Back-to-backs give only one way out. In the villas there may be long paths and steps up from the road. Flats near the centre can involve shared stairwells. We plan the carry route when we price, so we arrive with the right kit.
Saltaire attracts visitors, especially at weekends, so its streets can be crowded and tight for parking. Weekday mornings are usually the best time to load there. The A650 and the roads through the town centre get busy at peak times, and some streets have restrictions. Bradford Council sets parking rules here, so tell us about anything on your street when you book and we'll plan round it.
Shipley sits in Bradford district, not Leeds, so the tips and bulky collections are run by Bradford Council under their own rules. Check their own website first if you want to go that route. For anything you'd rather not move yourself, we clear terraces, cellars, attics, gardens and rental properties. Landlords get a waste transfer note for every job, because clearing a let is commercial waste wherever you are in England.

About sofa & furniture removal →Yes. Saltaire's listed terraces have steep stairs, compact rooms and narrow back streets, and we plan each job around that. We protect stairs and doorways while we carry, and we don't touch fixtures you need to keep. Send us photos of the rooms and the access and we'll agree a price before the day.
Shipley is in Bradford district, so the tips and bulky waste collection are run by Bradford Council, not Leeds. Their rules and charges are their own, so check with them directly. If they can't take what you need, or you'd rather not move it yourself, we'll collect from inside the house.
Weekday mornings usually work best. Saltaire draws visitors, particularly at weekends, so parking on the surrounding streets fills up. We work 7am to 7pm, so an early start often gets the van closest to the door. Tell us your street when you book and we'll suggest a time.
A waste transfer note for every job. Clearing a rental property is commercial waste under the duty of care code, wherever the property is. The note records what was collected, who took it and where it went. Keep it with your records in case you're ever asked how the waste was disposed of.
We don't take asbestos, clinical waste, chemicals or solvents, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, oils or fuel, or liquid paint in quantity. Plasterboard needs separate handling, so mention it. Fridges and freezers are fine; they're classed as hazardous and we take them to a facility permitted to treat them. Ask us if you're unsure about anything.
